So!
One week ago yesterday i bought my first pair of [relatively] serious running trainers…
we’re a nike family, so i stuck to the obvious and went for nike. They’re pretty cool.. Loads of teens around town wear them as fashion, which is a bit weird, but i put bright pink laces in them, and off i went.
The first run was ok, as it usually is. (a bit of background, i’ve never been a runner! i’ve done a bit of treadmill, loads of walking, swimming, tennis etc, but running has always felt like a bit of a stretch!) The second run was hardcore, and the third and fourth just sort of happened. My mind was all over the place, so they went by in a blur. Then Saturday i needed a rest. Sunday i went with my dad, and we did well, but i was finished! Yesterday was OK, and today, today i stretched myself. My goal so far has only been to not walk (i can be a bit flaky otherwise) and i’ve managed to do that well enough, so i decided today was the day for a jump up, and i did 4.5 km! it’s amazingly huge for me!!!
I’m aiming to run a marathon… so running everyday is necessary. Tomorrow i’m going to a friend’s, so no training… but thursday we’ll recommence!
as for now, i’m exhausted!
