I’ve missed kind of just writing all my rubbish in a little corner of the internet that belongs to me.. even if i’m just kind of loaning it.
I’m sad that it’s been so long, but there’s nothing to be done now.. i need to just keep on keeping on or however the saying goes.

i have a lesson in 15 minutes and i haven’t prepared anything.. darn! maybe i could do a lesson on internet games.. something interesting (and useful to say the least) like that..

this year has been kind of rough.. i feel like things keep happening, and right as i’m getting through them something new pops up… i can’t catch up..

i want to go to England in the summer to teach English to kids, it’s like a summer camp, and my mom’s friend told her that there’s this really good language school that organize camps, and that her two sons have done it for years, and it’s fabulous, so i thought, hey.. why not?

So about a week ago i email them my CV, and they asked for two reference letters, and now finally it’s phone interview time. In about an hour they’re going to call me.

It’s weird, because i totally forgot how thorough the English are. Here in Italy things are more slap dash, throw it all together and hope for the best. I must say i’ve become most accustomed to it. There are a few things i’d like to point out that are most unlike what i’m used to here in Italy.
1. They replied to my email in under 6 months after it was sent.
2. They checked the references I gave.
3. They actually read my CV
4. They organised a phone interview
5. on a SUNDAY!!!!

The Italians would be more likely to send me a badly composed email explaining that they can’t really remember who i am, but they’d love to chat over a meal. They’d probably also ask me to bring my CV because mine may have gone missing in action. Plus, there’s more chance of the Pope declaring his change of religion than me getting to do an interview on the weekend, (nevermind Sunday!)

It’s funny, i never thought i’d get used to the way they do things, but in fact, i completely forgot that there’s a world outside of this country where things actually work, and business is efficient!!!

ok. so the running is fab. i’m doing pretty well i think.
Unfortunately 2 days this week (not consecutively thankfully) i couldn’t go running. But it’s ok cause i’ve been making some progress which is what counts.

So friday night i went to see my friend’s best friend’s reggae /ska band, (myspace.com/beskarootsfoundation) and they rocked! they were so cool! It was the official unveiling of the video.. Plus, my friend asked me to help her make the dress which was fun, except i made the elastic band at the waist a little tight and she couldn’t sing, so we had to cut it. But luckily my friend is a genius, and it looked quite cool in the end…

Gosh.. it has definitely been a crazy weekend!!!

So!
One week ago yesterday i bought my first pair of [relatively] serious running trainers…
we’re a nike family, so i stuck to the obvious and went for nike. They’re pretty cool.. Loads of teens around town wear them as fashion, which is a bit weird, but i put bright pink laces in them, and off i went.

The first run was ok, as it usually is. (a bit of background, i’ve never been a runner! i’ve done a bit of treadmill, loads of walking, swimming, tennis etc, but running has always felt like a bit of a stretch!) The second run was hardcore, and the third and fourth just sort of happened. My mind was all over the place, so they went by in a blur. Then Saturday i needed a rest. Sunday i went with my dad, and we did well, but i was finished! Yesterday was OK, and today, today i stretched myself. My goal so far has only been to not walk (i can be a bit flaky otherwise) and i’ve managed to do that well enough, so i decided today was the day for a jump up, and i did 4.5 km! it’s amazingly huge for me!!!

I’m aiming to run a marathon… so running everyday is necessary. Tomorrow i’m going to a friend’s, so no training… but thursday we’ll recommence!

as for now, i’m exhausted!

After much hard work and effort.. long nights of deliberation, and days of long labour, my site is up and running! I can’t believe i almost let it go…
all because my previous host.. well let’s just say may or may not have had some serious psychological issues. And may or may not have deleted my ENTIRE site for no reason.

It was tragic. but not ALL was lost. My determination and perseverance pulled me through. (and that of my sisters’. Thanks for all the hard work guys). Actually, i feel i must come clean. They did everything and i bossed them around from a distance : ) i owe you one!

but alas… all has returned to normal.
After writing this post i am going to drink a cup of coffee and attempt to clean my room. I think before and after photos might be necessary!
